Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
Step 4: In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Step 5: Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a small handful to sprinkle on top.
Step 6: Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate chips on top.
Step 7: Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
Step 8: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Storage Information:
Store the chocolate chip cookie bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For longer storage, you can freeze them in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer-safe bag or container for up to 3 months. Thaw at room temperature before serving.
